The Security of the Serious

The Gospel of Luke, Chapter 6, verses 47 and 48. "Whoever comes to Me and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like. He's like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock."

You know, these words of scripture tell us of the incredible security of those who take seriously their new life in God. God himself promises us stability, no matter how severe the storms or how deep the fears which seem to swirl all around us today. Let me be very clear. A casual relationship with God offers no security in the severity of the storm which we are all soon to face. It's time for you and I to dig deep, with an obedient heart, into the word of God.
