Singing With Angels

First Kings chapter 19, verse 13, says: “So it was when Elijah heard it that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly, a voice came to him and said, ‘What are you doing here, Elijah?’”

Many people live in dread of the holiday season because of the emptiness and the pain that they often bring. The feeling of being alone, coupled with unpleasant memories from the past, often leads to the holiday blues.

Let the small, still, the voice of God help you to escape this place this year. He will tell you of His closeness, His love, and the plans that He has for your future. He'll invite you as the shepherds once were to sing with the angels. If you let Him, He'll open your eyes and heart to something much bigger and better than your pain.

Remember, my friend, it's time to pray.
