The gospel of Mark, chapter 11, in verse 24: “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”
Jesus spoke these words to people then and to those of us now who are willing to make Him Lord of our lives and follow Him. It’s assumed that we will ask for what we need to do the work that He has called us to do in His Name. For example, you and I will need more love and compassion than our own hearts are capable of, and we will need an ability to believe God beyond the limits of our own hearts and our own reasonings.
The best part of it all is that these words are true. I have lived and tasted the absolute truth of this promise. Now it’s your turn.
It’s time to pray.
