Now I Choose to Love

The Gospel of John, chapter 13, verse 35 says, “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

What's the sign by which people will know that we belong to Jesus Christ? It's simply this: we love one another. This love is not something the world can produce. It's a love found at the cross, that's poured into our very hearts through salvation and marks our lives as we live for God. We make the choice to say, "Jesus, you loved me when I hated you, and now you've opened my heart to that love. So now I choose to love my brother, my sister, and people that I have nothing in common with."

None of us want to live a deficient life, having missed all that was available to us because of Your love, O God. May everywhere we go and everything we do reveal who we are in Christ to this world.
