May the Love of the Church Shine Brightly

Romans 5:5, "Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy spirit who was given to us."

When Jesus commits to us, He also commits His spirit to us. It is through this commitment that He changes us, heals us, and puts His love in our hearts. We can share the blessings in favor of God's love with others who need it the most-- the unwanted, the downcast, the hopeless-- as our hearts expand in God's love towards them. And when it does, God gets the glory, especially as the love of so many in our generation is starting to grow cold. May the love of the church of Jesus Christ shine brightly in the midst of our present darkness and be a reflection of who God really is.

May His love in us create a hunger in others for the hope that you and I know we have found and they can have in Christ.
