Living for the Sake of Other People

When the Holy Spirit came to the early church, the first thing that happened was that those people were led out of a place of seclusion and into the public marketplace. They were led out of a place where they were sitting to preserve themselves and into a place where people were now giving themselves for others and the work of God.

When the Holy Spirit begins to lead us, the first thing He does is take us out of fear, out of a place where we live to preserve our safety, and take us into a place where we are now living for the sake of other people. It is there that we are given the giftings of the Holy Spirit, and we are equipped to accomplish what the Lord has called us to do for His glory.

Today I'm encouraging you to ask the Lord Jesus Christ to empower you once again, to give you the power to stand.
