If Paul Had Listened

Acts, chapter 21, verse 13: "Then Paul answered, 'What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.'"

Someone had just prophesied to Paul that if he continued on the journey ahead, he could expect hardship. If Paul had listened to those who pleaded with him not to go, there are books of the Bible that we would not have today. Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and the book of Philemon were all written in a Roman prison. Had Paul chosen the path of ease, we would not have the comfort that we find in these books.

Pray that you will have the courage to say "Yes" to God and continue on the journey that He has laid out ahead of you for your life. He has promised to be with you and with me, wherever that path leads. Go ahead right now. Just ask him, in Jesus name.

It's time to pray.
