Do You Love Me More Than These?

The gospel of John, chapter 21, verse 15 says, "After they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, 'Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?'"

Is there something of this world or in your life that you might think would bring you happiness apart from Jesus? Oftentimes the "these things" in our lives stand in the way of the very purpose that God has for us. The purpose of loving Him, of loving His people and taking care of other people. Our personal pursuits, relationships or endeavors may usurp our ability to receive God's vision for our time here on this earth.

If we love Jesus more than these, God will give us His eyes and His heart for the seemingly small and insignificant-the broken, the hopeless, the lost. If you and I are willing to lay aside these things, God will empower us to labor with Him in these last days.

It's time to pray.
