A Toddler Building A City

2 Chronicles 7:14 begins with God’s astounding words: "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray."

Prayerlessness sits on the foundation of pride. The person or the church that doesn't pray declares to God that His strength and guidance are no longer needed. The prayerless person sets out on a path that he cannot see. He boasts a strength he doesn't have to accomplish a task that is clearly beyond his ability. He looks like a toddler setting out to build a city in the spiritual realm.

That's why game-changing prayer always begins with humility. It’s the man or woman who says, "God, without you, I can do nothing. But with you, all things are possible."

It's time to pray.
